ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL

Yasmin Anderson-Smith, MCRP, AICI is President and CEO of KYMS Image International, LLC. Yasmin brings to image consulting, her vision, passion and commitment to excellence. When training, coaching or consulting, she prides herself in creating memorable results for people, organizations and events by influencing positive change and dynamic transformation

After  completing her post-graduate education in City and Regional Planning at Howard University, Yasmin practiced land use planning in Virginia and Maryland and was Regional Manager for historic properties owned by a nationally acclaimed, government agency.  Pursuing a career change, Yasmin studied advanced image consulting and professional development training in Great Britain.  She studied at the prestigious London Image Institute under the direction of certified image masters, Lynne Marks, AICI, CIM and Rosemarie Williams, TFIC. Yasmin subsequently acquired her image consulting certification through the Association of Image Consulting International.

A graduate of Leadership Prince George’s, Yasmin is an active member of several community and professional organizations. These include the Association of Image Consultants International, the American Society for Training and Development, The Institute for Caribbean Studies and Montgomery Women.  Yasmin is the founder and director of a personal development program for youth girls called Every Girl Can^TM.  Since the succesful launch of a pilot program at Takoma Park Middle School in the fall of 2006, the program has expanded to other schools and was also offered as a summer youth program at Montgomery College (Rockville campus) and Silver Spring Boys' and Girls' Club in, Maryland. More details are available at www.everygirlcan.org. Yasmin brings more than twenty years experience from government, private-sector and community-based human service environments to her consulting practice. Her clients can only benefit from her expertise in leadership, management, marketing, training, couseling, communication and customer service relations. 

In addition to her passion for image consulting, Yasmin enjoys the arts, culture, history, travel, sports and the outdoors.
